While it is possible to stick with a diet and continue to burn fat during the holidays, it’s much more difficult than normal.

Depending on your diet, there are a number of ways you can keep the holidays from putting you on a rebound or plateau.

Drink lots of water!!

Water is essential for any diet that aims to cut fat, and this is a good time to make sure you’re getting enough.  And if you are drinking so much water that your stomach is already feeeling full, you won’t eat too much or drink too much eggnog.

Take a short break from your diet.  I’m not saying gorge, but if you’re on a diet that counts carbs, calories, GI, etc.  just ignore the numbers for a day or two while you’re with your relatives.

Exercise.  play in the snow, go cross country skiing, do anything to get the metabolism up to make up for those calories you’re taking in.

DON’T

sit on the sofa like an idiot miserably munching carrots, while everybody around you is being festive.

Do you know if this is something that works over night or does it take a while for it to work?

Fine blog. I got a lot of great information. I’ve been following this technology for awhile. It’s fascinating how it keeps changing, yet some of the core components stay the same. Have you seen much change since Google made their most recent acquisition in the domain?
